Description
This is a market survey only. The US Army RDECOM-ARDEC anticipates soliciting afull and open competition to select an offeror to provide expert technical assistance for the U.S. Military Large Caliber (105mm/120mm) Ammunition Technology & Net Centric Information Initiative Proposed effort requires knowledge, expertise and experience regarding Large Caliber (105mm/120mm) systems and subsystem technologies, as well as network centric information technology. Required will be evaluations, assessments, coordination, managerial and administrative support, design support, test plan development and data reduction and analysis in the areas of fire control, target acquisition, RF (radio frequency) and EO electro-optical) sensors, gun and rocket boost propulsion, warheads/lethality, guidance and control, airframe structures, aerodynamics, integrated circuits, advanced software architectures, high performance computing, network centric information system tenets and speech translation systems. Also required is knowledge of counter-insurgency and mid-intensity operational environments. Familiarity with Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations (JCTD) is also beneficial. Knowledge of this nature is necessary because the duplication costs for research and knowledge would be costly to the Government. This proposed requirement has an anticipated period of performance of 1 Base Year and 4 Option Years with a projected award in the 1st quarter FY11. US Security Clearance at SECRET Level is required. Firms should indicate in their response the level of clearance possessed. Include company name, address, telephone number, technical point of contact, and brochure/literature. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION.
