- A/E Upgrade Building Automation System This notice is for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the VISN 23 A/E Contracts (V618P/BOA-4161a Fourfront Design, Inc.; V618P/BOA-4162a Bloom Engineers & Associates; V618P/BOA-4164a Dunham Associates, Inc.; V618P/BOA-4166a Rani Engineering; V618P/BOA-4167a Leo A. Daly; and V618P/BOA-4168a Wolfgram/Knutson Architects Ltd.). The Government anticipates entering into negotiations for a Task Order, with Dunham Associates, Inc., 50 South Sixth Street, Suite 1100, Minneapolis, MN 55402 for the architect-engineering services for this project. Project Description: provide drawings, specifications and construction period services for the study and upgrade of the existing building automation system at the Mpls VA Medical Center (VAMC). The project shall include buildings 9, 10, 49, 49SV, 69, 70, and 76. The Mpls VAMC currently operates and maintains a Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) Metasys system with both DSC 8500 and DX9100 series controllers. In building 70, there are approximately 53 air handling units and almost 300 individual exhaust fans, along with chillers, pumps, etc. The DSC 8500 and DX9100 controllers are no longer manufactured and, over time, have become increasingly more challenging and expensive to service and support. NAICS code 541310 applies to this procurement.
