- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office intends to award a sole source procurement to Quality Assurance Services (QAS), Inc in accordance with FAR Part 13. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41. Under this procurement, Contractor shall be required to perform compliance safety surveys, calibration, testing and certification on the imaging and radiology equipment located at the following sites of VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System: VA Medical Center Los Angeles, Sepulveda, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, and VA Ambulatory Outpatient Clinic Downtown Los Angeles. QAS shall provide all necessary and appropriate phantoms, equipment, materials, supplies as well as fully trained and qualified personnel to conduct the compliance safety surveys, calibration, testing and certification on all related Digital Mammograms, Mobile C-arm Units, Cardiac, Interventional A/P, CT Scanners, MRI Units, PET/CT Units, Portable X-rays, Gamma Cameras, ER Lab, Cath Labs Panoramic Dental Units, Fixed Dental Units, Portable Dental Units, Dexa Units, R&F Room, Cysto R&F room, EP Lab, and Radiographic rooms. The annual certification for all the imaging and radiology equipment shall be provided in accordance and to comply with the requirements of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHCO), Title 21, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the American College of Radiology (CAR) and internal VAGLAHS policy. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1; 41 U.S.C. (c) (1). The Government may consider all interested inquires from vendors received by June 17, 2010, 12:00 PM Standard Pacific Time. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to this requirement by submitting their request in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, E-mail address and Point of contact. Inquires received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail or facsimile at (562) 961-1359.
