Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division, Mobile Regional Contracting Center, is seeking information regarding capability and availability of potential contractors to perform Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), Task Orders for Design-Build Construction and Design-Bid-Build to include new construction, renovation, and repairs and maintenance in support of the Primary Focus : Water and Sewage Treatment Plants, water distribution systems, elevated and ground level water storage tanks, sewer lines / manholes, sewer lift stations and water booster pump stations stations and applicable appurtenances. Secondary Focus: In addition, there will be other types of design and construction throughout the region not specifically associated with water and sewer the contractors will be requested to execute, both vertical and horizontal in nature. The area of operations for this MATOC contract will be the country of Afghanistan. The capacity of this contract will be $499,999,999.00. Typical projects within the primary focus will be as outlined below: - Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation (Nationwide with emphasis on South and East rural areas) - Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Kabul, Kandahar, Ghazni, Gardez, Jalalabad, Mazar-Sharif) - Small and Medium Scale Irrigation Rehab, including Lower and Upper Watersheds (Various Locations) - Commercialization of Afghanistan Water and Sanitation Activity Ghazni, Gardez, Jalalabad, Mazar-e-Sharif) - Urban Water Supply and Sanitation (Plan & Design) (Kabul) Construction services to be performed consist of, but are not limited to, projects of general construction criteria requiring site work, water and sewer systems. Funding to support these projects can come from any number of sources. The overall intent is to provide a betterment to the daily lives of the Afghanistan people. The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237110, Water and Sewer Line Related Structures. The Small Business Size Standard for this requirement is $33.5 Million. Offerors are requested to respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis with the following information. Responses should be limited to five pages. 1. Offerors name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and e-mail address. 2. Offerors capability to perform, to include geographic span, logistic complexity, and project size. Include offerors in-house capability to execute design and construction, or established relationship with a design firm to perform D-B, comparable work performed within the past five years, brief description of the project, and dollar value of the project. 3. Offerors bonding capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars). 4.
