Description

Statement of Qualifications for LCLS VHF Radio Extension SLAC IS REQUESTING INTERESTED COMPANIES TO SUBMIT A "STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS" (see attached) AT THIS TIME. The work will be performed at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, San Mateo County, California. SYNOPSIS OF THE WORK: ­­The work requires the Subcontractor to design and build a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to initially support seven SLAC-maintained VHF channels and two Palo Alto Fire Department's (PAFD) VHF channels inside SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory's tunnels. The DAS will utilize single mode fiber optic cable between remote locations. The Subcontractor shall integrate the existing radio hardware with the new hardware to provide a completely integrated operating system. Major Technical Factors: The Subcontractor's Project Team shall include a FCC-licensed technician. One of the best value evaluation factors will be fiber usage. The fewer fibers required the better the value is to SLAC. The Subcontractor's experience in installing systems comparable in size and technology to the proposed system, in which the estimated range is $100,000 to $250,000, and the Subcontractor's overall installation capabilities, design, hardware, technical support, performance record, and company reliability are some of the factors, in addition to price that will be considered. A solicitation will be issued after SLAC has reviewed the Statements of Qualifications from interested parties.
