Description
The U.S. Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has a requirement to paint the following buildings on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest: Chelan Ranger District: Office Annex (#2015) 1884 sf Tonasket Ranger District: Office complex - Bldg #2011, #2012 (1710 and 2138 sf) Wenatchee River Ranger District: Ranger Station (#2084) 4000 sf (front side facing US 2 and sides) Optional bid item: Fire Warehouse (#2085) 4980 sf Entiat: Annex (#2057) 1880 sf Work involves surface preparation, repairing siding, power washing, wet scraping, sanding, and painting the exterior of buildings as shown. Note: some of these buildings are known to contain lead paint. The selected contractor shall have an individual on site at all times who is EPA Lead-Safe Certified and must provide proof of certification prior to beginning work. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies to perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with drawings, specifications, and provisions of the contract. Payment for contract work will be made only for and under those pay items included in the Schedule of Items. All other work and materials will be considered as incidental to and included in the payment for items shown. Award will be made in sufficient time for planning and preparation with on-site work to start on or about July 21, 2010. The construction period of performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of both past performance and a price quote. Award will be made to the offeror whose quote offers the best value to the Government. The estimated construction range of magnitude for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. This acquisition is determined to be under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and posted for 100% HubZone set aside. If no reasonable quotes are received from HubZone firms, offers from small businesses will be considered. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and wage rates will be posted to the https://www.fbo.gov/ website on or about June 29, 2010. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Proposal package and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from the https://www.fbo.gov/ website.
