- This is a Sources Sought announcement - Request for Information (RFI). This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is seeking information on contractor's capabilities to provide technical support for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) programs and initiatives. The purpose of this work is to provide a level of effort of support to ongoing Technical Design Agent (TDA) efforts as well as to meet newly emerging and indeterminate requirements, especially concerning Global War on Terrorism (GWOT), Urgent Universal Need Statement (UUNS), and initiatives set out by the USMC Strategic Technology Objectives (STO's) to meet the warfighter's mission requirements. Intent is to expedite tasking for concept development, advanced prototyping, and test support, with additional program support as required to assure successful completion of the various programs. The Expeditionary Warfare tasking consists of the following programs and start-up initiatives supporting the expeditionary environment: Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) / Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) Detection; Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Mine Classification; Pre-shot sniper detection; Optical Surveillance Detection; Suicide Bomber Detection; Scalable Explosive Neutralization; Smart Mine Sensor Countermeasures; Detection and Neutralization TDA; Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Mission Module concept and other new starts approved by the Office of Naval Research. Interested parties may provide electronic or paper submittals to the Government by 4:00 p.m., 21 Jun 2010. There is no specific format or outline that submittals must follow. Each response must reference the RFI title and must be limited in length to three (3) typed pages. Interested parties should provide supporting literature and documentation that shows that their company meets or can meet the requirements of this source sought announcement. Telephone responses will not be honored.
