Description
THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0451 on or about June 21, 2010, for the RECOVERY Helicopter Transport of Wilderness Bridge Materials Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after June 21, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201, however, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION. This project includes helicopter transporting between 20,000 and 23,000 pounds of bridge materials (approximately 220-250 pieces) from the Meadow Creek Trailhead to the north approximately 8 miles to the Black Bear pack bridge, approximately 15 miles to the Salmon Forks pack bridge, and approximately 24 miles to the Big Prairie pack bridge. All sites are located on the Flathead National Forest in Western Montana. PARTICIPATION. This project is advertised as a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
