Description

The intent of this Scope of Work is ti implement energy saving improvements. Specific Requirements: Prior to submitting a bid, the prospective bidder must visit the site and become thoroughly familiar with all pertinent condition that are included in the Scope of Work. The prospective bidder must take such steps as may be necessary to ascertain the nature and condition of the work, and the general an local conditions which can affect the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. A per-bid walk-through will be conducted at the project site with all interested contractors proir to bid opening date on Friday June 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Extent of Work: The extent of this Construction Scope of work is to implement energy saving improvements. The work consists primarily to remove the original roof and insulation and replace with white, Energy Star high reflectance and high emissivity, Ultra PLY TPO roofing system (.060 inch nominal thickness) and R20 rigid insulation, approximately 23,000 SF. Provide all required flashing applications on parapet walls, soffits and vents. Roof design shall meet current allowable wind loads and comply with the Executive Order 13514. "Federal Leadership in Enviromental, Energy, and Economic Performance" and "Guiding Principles for Federal Leadership in High Performance and Sustainable Buildings." All work to be accomplished in accordance with the NRCA. Provide roofing manufacturer's standard 20 year warrantly. * A complete package is available upon request.
