Description

Services Non-Personal: The Air Force intends to solicit and issue a contract to Illinois Tool Works, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(2) for the following services: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, test equipment, personal protective equipment and clothing, hearing protection, eye protection including prescription safety glasses, materials and parts, transportation and other incidentals necessary to travel to Tinker AFB, OK to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM), Remedial Maintenance (RM) and Calibration on the Micro-Hardness Model #T2100, Tensile Testers Model #2000 and Tensile Testers Model #3385HQ. The contractor shall be responsible for insuring all services and parts provided under this contract are in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined herein and conform to the manufacturer's equipment specifications and the Performance Work Statement (PWS). A Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract is contemplated. The proposed basic period of performance is 20 July 2010 - 21 July 2011. The estimated award date is 19 July 2010. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 with a size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The government does not own the data rights or the processes for repair of these machines. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
