Description
The purpose of this amendment is to add to the description of the requirement and to answer questions regarding this solicitation. The USU is deploying a SQL Server 2008 to support applications that require an Enterprise SQL server. Any system proposed to meet the requirements of this procurement which uses SQL Server must be connected to the Enterprise System. Due to Department of Defense Information Assurance requirements we can only support one Enterprise SQL server. Q & A 1. Where is your data stored (i.e. SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, etc)? Answer: Data is stored in Oracle 2. How much history of data do you keep? Answer: Varies by field. Demographic data is current, no history. Otherwise (grants, financials) goes back to USU founding 1970s. 3. Do you have a datawarehouse in place already? Answer: No. 4. How many named users are you anticipating and of what user level? Answer: Request 60 named users and 2 data architects. System must support finite access controls to restrict users to certain data. a. Administrators - manage the environment as well as have full report creation ability Answer: 2 - but users should not be limiyed in terms of reports, only in terms of data to which they have access b. Professionals Users - create detailed, professional reports Answer: Should be ability of any named user. c. Business Analysts - create ad-hoc reports and analysis Answer: Should be ability of any named user. d. Consumers - simply run/schedule reports that are already created Answer: Should be ability of any named user. 5. How many reports, dashboards, scorecards, etc do you want created? Answer: First instance is focused on COEUS. Data Architects and users must be able to create dashboards and scorecards.
