- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, North Carolina is seeking potential sources capable of providing Outpatient Pre-Dialysis (Nephrology) Clinic Services and On-Call Inpatient Services to veteran beneficiaries as referred by the Chief, Medicine Service and/or the designee at the Charles George VAMC, Asheville, NC. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to provide Outpatient Pre-dialysis (Nephrology) Clinic Services and On-Call Inpatient Services to veteran beneficiaries of the VAMC Asheville, NC. The Outpatient Nephrology Service, to include dialysis treatment, consultation and office visits, shall be provided at the Contractor's facility, during their normal business hours. Inpatient On-Call Nephrology Services shall be provided to patients located at the VAMC Asheville, NC with 24/7 work hours. The following privileges are required in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this requirement if VAMC Asheville decides to refer the patient to off-site services provided at the Contractor's facility. Procedures to include: Doplar Renal Ultrasound; Renal Ultrasound; Diagnostic Procedures to determine the need for admission; and Duplex Arterial Vein mapping. Treatment of Renal Diseases to include: Acute Renal Failure; Chronic Renal Failure; Glomerulonephritis-Acute and Chronic; Hypertension, Primary and Secondary; Nephronic Syndrome; Evaluation of Proteinuria and Hematuria; Acute Drug Overdoses requiring dialysis; certain conditions requiring plasmapheresis, transferred to Mission Hospital; and Electrolyte abnormalities, Acid-Base Abnormalities. The licensee must have an active, current, full and unrestricted license to practice the individual's profession. Providers must be licensed in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia. Personnel performing these services shall be board certified and must meet the credentialing/privileging requirements and be approved by the Professional Standards Board at the VAMC Asheville, NC before commencing work. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 621111 with a size standard of $10Million. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; and firm's experience in providing both Outpatient Pre-Dialysis (Nephrology) Clinic Services and On-Call Inpatient Services in a professional setting.
