Description
Hill AFB, 500 CBSS/GBLE is currently applying for approval of a foreign comparative testing program. This announcement is for sources sought for companies that manufacture and supply passive integral damage detection systems that meet the following requirements: REQUIREMENTS: The passive integral detection system must have the ability of sensing a specific damage incident separate from any other incident. It must meet the UV protection requirements of the existing Tactical hardware with exposure to the full sunlight. There shall be no water penetration as a result of the detection method for any damage. The detection system shall not cause any additional structural weakness above and beyond that of the initial fielded asset. This system must be intrinsically safe to the system it is used on. This system must be capable of determining the different levels of severity for each damage incident and allow those differences to be visually distinguished. The system must be tolerant of temperatures between -70 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. The system shall not degrade the durability of the hardware it is sensing damage on. Potential offerors may identify their interest and capability and shall submit their interest by mail or email no later than 2 July 2010 to Chris Neering, 84 CBSG/PK, 6039 Wardleigh Rd. Bldg. 1206, Hill AFB UT, 84056-5826, christopher.neering@hill.af.mil. No telephone requests, only email request received directly from the requester are acceptable.
