- ******SEND ALL CORRESPONDENCE INCLUDING QUOTES AND TECHNICAL QUESTIONS IN WRITINGTO CHARLIE HOLT AT: charles.a.holt@nasa.gov; FAX: 256-544-6560******NASA/MSFC has a requirement for software Maintenance, Enhancement and Support Agreement(ME&S)in support of the Structural Test Branch located at MSFC.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from MTS Systems Corporation on a sole sourcebasis.The Maintenance, Enhancement, and Support Agreements ensure that MSFC control systemsmaintain the high level of operability required to support static structural testing atMSFC. Reliable operation of the load control systems is critical to the support of staticstructural testing in ET30.MTS Systems Corporation is the manufacturer of the Aero-90 family of load controlsystems. All of the associated hardware and software are proprietary, and are thereforesupported only by MTS Systems Corporation. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing no later than 4:30 p.m. CT on June 22, 2010 to Charlie Holt/MSFC/PS22at charles.a.holt@nasa.gov or fax to 256-655-6560. Such capabilities/qualifications willbe evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct thisprocurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to competethis proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to thisnotice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
