- Notice of Intent to Sole Source Washington Headquarters Service, Acquisition and Procurement Office, on behalf of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (OUSD, AT&L), Office of Acquisition Resource and Analysis (ARA) intends to award a sole source contract to General Engineering Consultants, under the authority of FAR 13.501 (a)(1), with the objective of restoring operability to the MDAP database. Due to the immediate need to rejuvenate this database and the cost savings that the data will subsequently provide, the Government would like to bring the developer of the database on board to quickly fix and update the database. General Engineering Consultants has the unique skills required to quickly accomplish this urgent task. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by 9 A.M. EST, 25 June 2010 by e-mail to robin.castoldi@whs.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source award. The cancellation notice will be posted on FedBizOps.
