- This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officer to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Per FAR Part 6.302-1(2)(ii)(B) - using another source other than Motorola would cause unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements, it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to Motorola. The intended order will provide for the purchase of materials and labor for a Guy Wire Replacement at a location in Nassau, Bahamas. Motorola provides the highest level of factory-authorized sales and service to the Federal Government and can assure equipment compatibility and expedited service. As a result, Motorola is the only responsible source able to provide the equipment and service needed in the Bahamas.
