- This is not a combined solicitation/synopsis announcement. This sources sought synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. The Government is seeking vendors who are capable of providing Explosive Ordnance Disposal instruction, classroom training and practical application of training events, training aid materials, and traininig aid devices. The vendor will be required to provide Explosive Ordnance Disposal associated equipment, tools, techniques and procedures, training, classroom instruction, and procurement of Inert Explosive Ordnance Device Training Aids for the following areas of : Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear, IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) VIED (Vehicle Improvised Explosive Devices), RCIED (Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices), HME (Home-Made Explosives), simple and sophisticated fuzing systems, safes and locks, and electronics training. All instructors are required to possess a current and valid security clearance of Secret or higher. The associated NAICS code is 611699 with a standard business size of $7 million. The Defense Priority and Allocation System (DPAS) rating for this procurement is DO-S10. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their vendor's capabilities with respect to the brief description, including vendor's name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, email address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE code. Comments and questions on the documents received by vendors may be used to help in the preparation of the Request for Quote. Vendor responses will be treated as confidential. However, vendors should not provide proprietary business information at this time. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute a Request for Quote, and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract in connection with this announcement.
