- Description: The Government has a requirement to increase the file server size by 15TB on the existing EMC Celerra NS-120 file server through a shelf expansion of 15 1TB drives. (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Submit written quotes on RFQ Number NRMJ1000-10-15252WGC. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-41. (IV) This procurement is unrestricted and open to all sources. The associated NAICS code is 334112. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. (V) This combined solicitation/synopsis is for purchase of the following commercial items: CLIN 0001: INSTALL OF SHELF AND DRIVES (Quantity 1): Item Number: NS4-4PDAE Item Description: 4G DAE FACTORY OR FIELD INSTALL CLIN 0002: FILE SERVER DRIVES AND SHELF (Quantity 15): Item Number: NS-SA07-010U Item Description: ASSY DISK 1000GB 7.2K 512BPS SATA 3GB 32MB –R UPG CLIN 0003: POWER CONNECTORS (Quantity 1): Item Number:C13-PWR-12 Item Description: 2 C13 PWRCORDS W/NEMW 5-15 PLUGS 125V 10A (VI) Description of requirements is as follows: The existing file server, EMC Celerra NS-120, allows additional shelves and disk drives to increase file system space. The Government has a requirement to increase the file server size by 15TB on the existing EMC Celerra NS-120 file server through a shelf expansion of 15 1TB drives that must be compatible with existing infrastructure. EMC specific firmware on both the shelf and the drives requires the purchase of only EMC shelf and drive units in order for the entire system to work properly. The system is unable to mix and match shelf units or disk drives from other vendors with our EMC Celerra NS-120 due to these requirements. (VII) Time of Delivery is 4 weeks ARO. Place of delivery and acceptance is NOAA/Global Monitoring Division (GMD), 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. (VIII) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (June 2008) applies to this acquisition. (IX) Offers will be evaluated solely on price, on an all or none basis. (All technical requirements as shown in V and VI must be met in order to be considered.) (X) The offeror must submit a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (Aug 2009) with its quote. An offeror shall complete only paragraph (b) of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. If an offeror has not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at the ORCA website, the offeror shall complete only paragraphs (c) through (m) of this provision. (XI) The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items (March 2009), applies to this acquisition.
