- Sole Source Justification FEDBIZOPS NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SOLE SOURCE: The 10 th Contracting Squadron, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Career and Technical Training, LLC, Windsor, CO 80550, for renewal of a 2000-seat license for SolidWorks for the period of 1 Aug 10 - 31 July 11. This academic license also includes: Design For Engineering Academy Suite - Unlimited Site License Includes: SolidWorks Beginner to Certification Software Training Package Design For Manufacturing Curriculum Resources Design For Manufacturing Software SolidWorks Integrated CAM Software -CAMWorks CAM Training Package - SolidProfessor Assorted CAM Projects The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 611710 and the SBA size standard is $7M. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if received in a timely manner, will be considered. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicatation for bids or proposals. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13 procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. Any vendor that feels they can meet the government's requirement may submit information (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The closing date of this synopsis is 12:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) 30 June 2010. The government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. Please contact Michael Fredericks, (719) 333-3829 or michael.fredericks@usafa.af.mil if more information is needed. 5352.201-9101 OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
