Description

THE DATE INCLUDED IN THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ARE APPROXIMATE AND MAY BE CHANGED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION. THE ACTUAL DATES WILL BE ESTABLISHED AT THE TIME THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH www.FBO.gov. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE SYNOPSIS FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR A SUPPLY CONTRACT. INSTALLATION IS NOT PART OF THE REQUIREMENTS. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SOLICITATION ISSUE ANTICIPATED DATE: JULY 26, 2010.ELECTRONIC COPY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE POSTED TO www.FBO.gov. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL ANTICIPATED DUE DATE: AUGUST 31, 2010 The work include furnishing and delivering two replacement runners and cones with new coupling bolts and wear rings, and shear pins. Delivery will be to the Bureau of Reclamation Wyoming Area Office, 705 Pendell Blvd., Mills, Wyoming 82644, which is approximately 1 mile west of Casper, Wyoming. Principal components of work include: Prototype Performance design including complete computational fluid dynamic (CFD) design, and provide test report; furnish and deliver two stainless steel vertical Francis turbine runners, nose cones, and coupling bolts; furnish and deliver two sets of aluminim bronze stationary wearing rings and one spare set; furnish and deliver two sets of shear pins including spares. No installation is included in this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339999 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. This procurement is advertised as a Request for Proposal on an unrestricted basis, full and open competition. Proposals will be accepted from all responsive and responsible offerors. Prospective contractors must must have an active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to do business with the Federal Government.
