Description
Performance Work Statement Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to issue a solicitation to continue support for healthcare of the responders who participated in the rescue, recovery, and cleanup in the aftermath of the attack on the World Trade Center (WTC) on September 11, 2001. Since that time, the Department of Health and Human Services, CDC, and NIOSH have been active in assessing the health impact of the WTC disaster. There is currently a Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program in place to provide periodic medical monitoring examinations, diagnosis, and treatment services to the WTC responders. This Program includes a National Responder Health Program (NRHP) contract which provides these services to approximately 4,200 responders who live outside of the New York City area. CDC intends to award a new contract to continue providing these services to these national responders. The WTC NRHP contractor will be required to provide: • Project Management • Initial and Annual Medical Monitoring Examinations • Diagnostic and Treatment Services • Pharmacy Benefit • Case Management • Claims Processing and Bill Payment • Member Services • Reports on Key Performance Measures and Program Status • Quality Assurance For additional details regarding the work to be performed, please see the attached Performance Work Statement. This requirement will be solicited on an unrestricted basis via full and open competition. CDC intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee - Term contract for one base year with four option years (5 years total). A preproposal conference is scheduled for July 20, 2010 at NIOSH Headquarters in Washington, DC. More info will be included in the solicitation document. The complete solicitation document, and reference material, will be available for downloading at www.fbo.gov on or about July 6, 2010 and proposals will be due on or about August 6, 2010. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted.
