Description
ERDC ITL Office Building and Computer Facility Base Bid- The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment for constructing the complete and fully operational Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) Office Building and Computer Facility. The two-story Office Building and Computer Facility will provide approximately 56,600 square feet of office space, storage areas, multi-purpose rooms, break areas, restrooms, computer server rooms, a library, mail room, and laboratories. Site work includes roads, regrading of site and demolition and reconstruction of MSE wall, exterior site furnishing, and landscaping. Support services include electric, data/communications, heating/cooling, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, gas, fire protection, and alarm systems. The new Computer Facility is similar to the existing Computer Facility. It is a two-story, high-bay building with raised mechanical flooring and no rest rooms. Bid Option 1- Bid Option 1 will provide approximately 11,100 square feet of additional space which includes the continuation of the corridor, the inclusion of the fourth wing of the building north of column line S in the drawings, and the Computer Facility. Bid Option 2- Bid Option 2 includes the site work associated with construction of the parking areas, including drainage, and all exterior lighting along the road and parking lots. Bid Option 3- Bid Option 3 includes the reconstruction of the MSE wall into a serpentine configuration and associated landscaping. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, site grading, foundation excavation, subgrade preparations and drainage course, vapor barrier, cast-in-place concrete footings and foundation, piling, steel framing, cold-formed metal trusses, standing seam roof panels, aluminum framed windows, exterior overhead coiling doors and steel doors with canopies, rigid grid access flooring, elevator, site, foundation drainage and waterproofing, interior and exterior lighting, interior and exterior electrical, floor drains, sewer, gas, and water utilities, fire protection systems, landscaping, environmental protection, all work at the site, and all work incidental thereto.
