- The FAA Western Logistics Service Area has a new construction requirement to Replace the ARSR Membrane Roof at Cascade, Idaho. All work must be done in accordance with the attached Specifications, Drawings and Department of Labor Wage Rate determinations. All work related to approval of submittals, procurement of materials, equipment, bonds, insurance and be ready to start on site construction not later than twenty (20) calendar days. The completion date (September 03, 2010) assumes that the successful offeror will receive the notice to proceed for start of construction by August 11, 2010. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160 - Removal and Replace Membrane Roofs with a size standard of $33.5 million. A one time site visit is offered on June 30, 2010. Contractors who would like to attend the site visit must submit an email to clarence.davis@faa.gov by 2:00 P.M. (PDT) June 26, 2010. This RFO/Solicitation closes at 4:00 PM PDT, July 20, 2010. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
