Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT 17 JUNE 2010 Lock 27, Lower Mississippi River Basin, Lockwall Tie-Downs. Madison County, Granit City, 3291 West 20th Street, Granite City, Illinois, 62040-0001, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funds may be utilized on the resulant award. This is an UNRESTRICTED solicitation. The work will consist of installing pre-stressed rock anchors on the east and west lock will monoliths to stablilze the lock walls. The job will also consist of required site work necessary to install rock anchors including shoring and excavation, utility relocations, installation and anchor grade beams and site modifications at the east and west esplanade areas. The drilling and installation will be done along the landside of the east and west lock wall monoliths while the locks are in operation. The installation will consist of drilling and advancing micro-pile casing, placing the anchors in the casing, water testing the holes, grouting the holes, prestressing the anchors to a prescribed load and performing proof and perfromance tests on the anchors for acceptance. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects,(g) Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 applies. This is a Best Value type Solicitation.
