Description
NOTICE: SET-ASIDE FOR TOTAL SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY Project Name: Emergency Vehicle Equipment Installation and ServiceThe Solicitation Number for this project is Q8808100012 The US Department of the Interior, the National Park Service, Yosemite National Park is soliciting proposals from qualified Small Business firms for a firm-fixed-price contract to furnish all labor, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: A.Acquiring equipment The contractor will be required to acquire emergency vehicle equipment for installation using the list in Appendix 1 of the solicitation. This list includes brand name and part number specific items to guarantee uniform installations throughout the fleet. Listed equipment acquired by the contractor must be in new condition. Miscellaneous parts such as connectors, terminal blocks, wire, and mounting hardware are not specified. These items shall be industry standard and provided by the contractor. B.Installing equipmentInstallations will vary depending on make and model of vehicle and the primary use of the vehicle. C.Maintenance of equipmentThe contractor is expected to be available during normal business hours to handle minor repairs of emergency equipment. Average response time must be under 24 hours. To provide maximum vehicle availability, maintenance of emergency equipment is to be done in Yosemite Valley. D.Total projected work in 2010:Installation: 6 marked patrol vehicles, 2 unmarked patrol vehicle,1 undercover vehicleDecommission: 5 marked patrol vehicles, 2 unmarked patrol vehicle, 1 undercover vehicleMaintenance: estimated at 75 hours, no minimum, maximum of 100 hours. E.Provisions by GovernmentThe National Park Service will supply the following items to support the project: 1.An inventory of equipment to be used for installations 2.Work siteThe work site is located at the Search and Rescue Complex in Yosemite Valley and includes the following:~One garage bay with lockers for temporary use in inclement weather~A small parking area sufficient for working on one vehicle at a time.~Parts and equipment storage area~Electricity and lighting Types of Equipment to be installed and removed, though not all inclusive, includes; control console, light bar and associated wiring, traffic advisor and associated wiring, radios, gun racks, etc. A complete list will be provided with the Solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238210, and the small business size standard is $14.0 million. Contract duration is approximately 86 days following notice to proceed. This is a "Best Value" procurement: selection will be based on the lowest evaluated price of the technically qualified offerer. To be considered technically qualified, a firm must be a Small Business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 19 and have a satisfactory past performance history in performing work of this type. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about June 28, 2010 at the following website: www.fedbizopps.gov. (See FEDBIZOPPS SEARCH, below). All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 7 days following the date of posting of the solicitation unless extended.
