- Work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, and perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work complete in place, as shown on the drawings, specified in the specification, or as needed to install multiple apron flood lights. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, replacing existing lighting control panel with one that can handle the load requirements of the existing load and additional lighting load requirements, repairing existing airfield ramp lights, upgrading existing airfield ramp lights, providing two (2) new airfield ramp lights to provide lighting on the airfield apron, and lowering five (5) existing airfield ramp lights that extend beyond the required clear zone boundaries. The work shall be fully complete in accordance with the contract documents. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City, Florida and Pensacola, Florida. This acquisition is a HUBZone set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237120 with a size standard of $33.5M. This contract will be a "Price Performance Trade-Off" contract; award will be made based on the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.101. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 125 calendar days. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Bid bonds will be required with the proposal. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1 st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date of this solicitation is projected to be on or about 15 July 2010. A site visit will be scheduled approximately 15 days from the solicitation issue date. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
