- Description
- Description: The purpose of this amendment is to inform all interested parties that the Whiting pit can now be acessed from the northern side of Route 1. From Hwy 299 at Berry Summitt it is about 31 miles to Whiting pit. Access from the south (Hwy 36) is still not possible. This project involves the crushing and stockpiling of aggregate at the Hastings and Whiting pits, Six Rivers National Forest, Trinity County, California. The work involves crushing rock at existing pits on Forest Service lands and stockpiling the crushed rock at or near the crushing site. The price range is $250,000 to $500,000. Estimated start work date is September 1, 2010 with 90 calendar days of contract time. Solicitation will be a request for proposal requiring both a price and technical proposal responding to the evaluation criteria as shown in the solicitation. Solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or about April 30, 2010.
