- Question and Answer The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement for two (2) Forensic Analysis Lab Computers. The equipment shall meet the following specifications: --Chassis: black desktop tower (dimensions 25 ½" x 17" x 7"). --Power supply: 865 watt (100-240V 50-60Hz). --Processor: two Intel® E5530 Quad-core 2.4GHz, 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366. --System memory: 48GB DDR3 1066. --Bios: Phoenix. --Video controller: one 1GB DDR3 video card (Dual-head). --Integrated LAN: Intel® Gigabit LAN Controller with two copper connections (10/100/1000Mbps transfer rates). --Sound: Realtek® High Definition Audio Codec. --RAID Controller: Adaptec® 51645 (16-Port internal). --Lockable drive bay configuration: Bay 1: Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor Hard Drive with Microsoft 7 Ultimate (64 bit), Bay 2: Samsung combo 22x dual layer DVD -R/-RW/ +R/+RW/ CD-RW Drive with software, Bay 3: 4 x 2.5 inch enclosure with 4 Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor Drives configured as RAID 0, Bay4: One "8 drive SAS/SATA enclosure" containing 8 x 1TB Seagate ST31000640SS SAS ES.2 Drives (positions 0-3 RAID 0 and positions 4-8 RAID 5). --Ports: Front panel: One eSATA port, one FireWire 400, four USB 2.0 ports, one audio in, one audio out, Rear panel: Seven USB 2.0 ports, two Fast UART 16550 Serial Ports, two FireWire 800 9-pin ports, and one eSATA port. --Accessories: Keyboard, Optical Mouse, Surge Protector, APC 1250 Va UPS, and one spare 1TB Seagate ST31000640SS SAS ES.2 hard drive. --Software: QuickView Plus version 10, Guidance EnCase® Forensic Edition version 6, AccessData® FTK3, Vound Intella TM, MacForensicsLab, and MacLockPick 2.2 (Law Enforcement Edition). --Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (OEM w/CD and COA). --Feature resource DVD containing diagnostics and drivers for Model: FAW-RM. --Shipping included. --Service: Toll free technical support. --Warranty: one year on-site next business day labor, parts, component replacement and/or upgrades. --On-site installation. --Delivery 5 days after receipt of award. All equipment shall be new, non-remanufactured items. All items shall be covered by the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) warranty. All offerors submitting a quotation shall be the original equipment manufacturer or authorized resellers of the equipment with proof of authorization. The place of performance is in Sterling, Virginia. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price purchase order, conducted through FAR Part13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All sources shall submit a quotation which will be evaluated. Award will be made based on best value to the Government. Evaluation will be based on Technical Capability, Past Performance and Delivery Schedule. Responses shall be submitted electronically to alyse.n.white@usdoj.gov. All respondents will be considered by this agency. All questions shall be submitted by 11:00am EST June 25, 2010. Questions and answers will be posted as an amendment to the synopsis/solicitation. All quotes and technical capability shall be submitted by July 6, 2010 12:00 noon EST.
