Description
SOW and Allegro Industries previous model 4220-03RB Specifications and Drawings This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HQ0034-10-T-0072; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-39. This acquisition will be a 100% total small business set-aside; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332510. The business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7125. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3429. The Washington Headquarters Service, Acquisition and Procurement Office (WHS/A&PO) Department of Defense, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington, DC 20301 intends to purchase cabinets to house emergency escape masks to add or replace cabinets throughout the National Capital Region (NCR) on a brand name or equal basis. The Government anticipates awarding one firm fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The following factors will be used to evaluate quotes and are listed in order of importance: (1) Technical Acceptability (2) Price (1) Technical Acceptability Provide documentation that shows the product meets the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified herein, in accordance with FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. To be considered for award, offers of “equal” products, including “equal” products of the brand name manufacturer, must meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation; clearly identify the item by Brand name, if any; and Make or model number. (2) Price The total price will be a determining factor after determination is made as to compliance to technical acceptability. The award will be issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Vendors should include warranty terms and delivery times with their quote. This request for quotation consists of the following: CLIN 0001 Qty: 175 Each Desc: Emergency Escape Mask Cabinet, Allegro Industries model no. 4220-03RB (see attachment A); pricing should include shipping to delivery address The cabinets must be manufactured to the following dimensions and specifications: 1) The cabinet shall be made of 22 gage steel. 2) The cabinet must be powder coated and white in color. 3) The outside dimensions, 26 1/4” x 26 1/4” with a depth of 11 ½”. 4) Interior shelf dimension, 13” from the bottom of the cabinet. 5) Must possess a battery operated alarm with a button pressure actuation switch. The switch shall enable the alarm to sound when the door is open. 6) Item possesses a continuous front door hinge or comparable hinging system. 7) Door magnets shall be mounted at the top and bottom of the door flange and capable of holding and unlatched door in the closed position. 8) Cabinet shall be equipped with safety break glass on front hinged door 9) EMERGENCY ESCAPE MASK CABINET” graphics shall be 11 1/2 “ long and be installed centered 6” from the left side of the cabinet and 1 5/16” from the top of the door. 10) The cabinet door handle shall be a cam type latch assembly. ** Note: Detail specifications and drawings in attachment B** Additional Information: 1. ONLY e-mailed quotes will be accepted. E-mailed quotes may be sent to robert.sherbondy@whs.mil and valerie.green@whs.mil. Contractors are responsible for verifying receipt of their quotes. All responsible sources interested in responding to this RFQ must respond no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on July 12, 2010. 2. The Government will evaluate quotes and make a selection based on the lowest priced, technically acceptable quotation meeting the specified manufacturer characteristics. The Government is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer. 3. The Government desires delivery of all parts 30 days ARO, but no later than 45 days ARO, and anticipates awarding a purchase order for these items on or about mid July, 2010. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at destination (supplies shall be delivered to the destination at the expense of the contractor). All quotes shall include ARO delivery information. 4.
