Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTORS AWARDED THE ARCHITECT ENGINEERING SERVICES INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) MULLTIPLE AWARD CONTRACT NUMBER IBM09D0006 WITH TETRA TECH, INC., IBM09D0007 WITH MWH, AND IBM09D0008 WITH URS GROUP, INC. RECOVERY – The requirement is for design work of the Courchesne Reach and NEMEXAS reach located in El Paso County, TX, Rio Grande Canalization Project (RGCP). The intent is to improve flood protection on both east and west of the Rio Grande in these two reaches. The flood improvements will consist of, but not be limited to: construction of new levees, rehabilitation of existing levees, proposed floodwalls, rehabilitation of existing hydraulic structures through levees, construction of hydraulic gated structures to be placed trough levees, proposed flood gates, access roads to levees, levee ramps, and all structure associated with the proposed improvements. The contractor shall: 1) conduct geotechnical investigations and testing to determine the type and extent of any required remediation improvements due to slope stability, seepage, levee settlement, erosion, and any other geotechnical issues that may cause levee failure during a 100-year flood event; 2) be responsible for researching and verifying agency right-of-way (ROW) or easement for each segment in order to determine location of improvements within the ROW or easement; and, 3) be responsible researching and verifying all existing above and below ground utilities and structures in order to determine if existing utilities/structures that are above and below ground may affect the location of the proposed works at each reach. In addition, the contractor shall prepare project schedule, attend/conduct meetings, prepare/submit monthly project updates, and prepare/submit draft/final minutes. THE RESULTING NEGOTIATED TASK ORDER MAY BE SYNOPSIZED AND ISSUED UNDER THE SUCCESSFULLY COMPETED AND EXISTING FIRM FIXED PRICE MULTIPLE AWARD IDIQ A-E SERVICES CONTRACT(S) REFERENCED ABOVE.
