- The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care (VISN 6) intends to negotiate sole source commercial item procurement with Trust House, of Roanoke Valley, to provide Temporary Residential Shelter, Community Based Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV), inclusive of all services as may be necessary in the treatment of patient care at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Salem, VA. The scope of service involves care and services over and above the level of room and board for Veterans that may have ongoing Mental Illness, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other medical health needs. The facility will not be used for detoxification or other hospital level treatment. The principle duties require all treatment services be performed on-site within VAMC at Salem, VA. This proposed procurement is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Noon, June 04, 2009, local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
