Description
SPECIAL NOTICE SOLICITATION This is a special notice that Naval Special Warfare Command, San Diego, CA intends to award a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract to Air Express International USA, Inc. dba DHL Global Forwarding, 1200 South Pine Island Road, Plantation, FL 33324 for door to door domestic and international shipping service to include combat zone areas. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 492110 with a size standard of 1500 employees applies to this procurement. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004 Alternate A in order to receive award. CCR information can be obtained at www.ccr.gov. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
