- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument on a sole source basis with Sonitrol of Hawaii, Inc. The government intends to acquire services using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed vendor will provide an Advantage plus Security System, access modules, airphone intercom, cctv system, monitoring, and installation. Sonitrol of Hawaii, Inc was identified by program office as the only source that can meet the technical requirement of this procurement because the existing security system was installer, is currently monitored by Sonitrol, and the provider of impact-activated audio protection tied directly in the alarm system with the existing system. No other known vendor can provide the security system with these characteristics. The government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract with a delivery date of July 31, 2010. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can provide equipment that fully meets the Government's requirements may submit substantiating documentation, such as the specifications of your product, in writing to the identified point of contact within 10 days after the publication of this notice. Such documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
