- This is a notice to award a non-competitive contract for LiDAR data collection from the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. The USGS, Western Region has determined that only Aerial Surveying of Kona, HI, possess the necesary skills and equipment to perform the services required by the work statement and the USGS National Geospatial Program Lidar Guidelines and Base Specifications, Version 13 - ILMF 2010.The USGS intends to negotiate and award IAW FAR 13.106 and the procedures of FAR Part 12. Any interested party having the ability to furnish these services shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competetive opportunities exist. Firms must show they can provide all necessary equipment, i.e., airplanes, GPS units, LiDAR scanners, etc, required for data collection and processing; qualified personnel for data collection including both airborne and ground staff, i.e., pilots, mechanics, base station/GPS operators and LiDAR scanner operators.
