- Description
- This will be a total small business competitive requirement. NAICS 238210 with a size standard of $14 million. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Maritime Administration (MARAD) Central Region Beaumont Reserve Fleet intends to procure services to provide a fully functional Vessel Radio Monitoring System at the Beaumont Reserve Fleet to monitor alarms onboard specific vessels located in the fleet anchorage. The radio monitoring system's shore side base station was destroyed during Hurricane Ike. The equipment on the vessels may require upgrading and/or repairs. The contractor may use all or part of the undamaged components on board the vessels; however, the contractor is still responsible for providing a fully functional Radio Monitoring System that meets the requirements. PLEASE SEE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) NUMBER DTMA3R10004, WHICH WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OR ABOUT JULY 6, 2010 FOR FURTHER DETAILS AND INSTRUCTIONS. A site visit is set for 10:00a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Beaumont Reserve Fleet, 2600 Amoco Road, Beaumont, TX 77705. POC for the site visit is Mr. John Hickey, e-mail address -john.hickey@dot.gov.Any questions to RFP should be directed to the Department of Transportation via e-mail to aline.smith@dot.gov, reference DTMA3R10004 on your email. Quotes will be due 30 days approximately 30 days from issue of solicitation. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP). Award will be made to the lowest price offeror submitting a proposal which conforms to this RFP.
