- All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. The subject requirement is for acquisition of one (1) NSN for a Hose Assembly, Nonmetallic. This proposed procurement includes an item within the Federal Supply Class 4720. The proposed contract will be Unrestricted. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The requirement will result in an award of a Large Purchase.. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on May 24, 2010 at the following web site: http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. The scope of this contract includes the acquisition of a 3 C which means that the Government does not possess the drawings.. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activities procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The delivery for this acquisition will be FOB Destination with Inspection & Acceptance at destination. The final award decision will be based upon an evaluation of price, delivery and past performance. This solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted.. ITEM DESCRIPTION FOR PR: 0024297711 Hose Assembly, Non-metallic 2-1/2 INCHES ID, 50 FEET IN LENGTH. IF AQLS ARE LISTED IN THE SPECIFICATION(S) OR DRAWING(S) THEY MAY BE USED TO ESTABLISH THE AUTHORIZED SAMPLE SIZE,HOWEVER,THE ACCEPTANCE NUMBER FOR THIS CONTRACT IS ZERO;I.E.,THIS CONTRACT REQUIRES A SAMPLING PLAN THAT ACCEPTS ON ZERO DEFECTS AND REJECTS ON ONE OR MORE DEFECT(S). "SPIDER CABLE ASSEMBLY TO BE INSTALLED AFTER PRESSURE TESTING." MERCURY OR MERCURY CONTAINING COMPOUNDS SHALL NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO,OR COME IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH,ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT.
