- Description
- RECOVERY - This action is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Actof 2009. Task 090-R.1 (ARP) is a faculty and student research and development effort thatis aligned to the core work of task 090-R and is part of the Aligned Research Program(ARP) under the contract. Research funded by the Recovery Act, within the Aviation SafetyProgram, will focus on developing innovative tools, concepts, methods, and technologiesthat will improve the intrinsic safety attributes of current and future aircraft and ofaviation operations. The Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) Project in theAviation Safety Program is developing tools, technologies, and techniques thatautomatically detect, diagnose, and predict adverse events such as aircraft componentfailures during flight. The focus of this task is the development of data-driven algorithms, models, andtechniques for health management of commercial aircraft and their systems and subsystems. The specific area of research is data mining algorithms that detects, diagnose, andpredict anomalies in data sets. This award notice is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The task order was issued under anexisting Cost-Plus-Award-Fee contract, NAS2-03144, which was made on a competitive basis.Due to the variability of this research and development work, a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee taskorder was determined appropriate.
