Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking an Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firm that shall provide architectural and engineering design period services to include Schematic Design (SD) Development, Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Bid Documents (BD). Services include prepraring complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates including services throughout the construction for Project 614-09-101 "Replace Air Handler Units (AHU) on the Ground Floor of Building 1 and Roof" and Project 614-10-110 "Replace Air Handler Units (AHU) in Building 7" at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN. Combined construction cost range for both projects is between $5,000,000-$10,000,000. Consideration of A/E firms are limited to firms within a 200 miles radius of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis,TN. Project includes replacing 9 air handler units located either on the ground floor of building 1 or the roof and replacing 12 air handler units located on the ground floor, first, second, and penthouse levels of the Spinal Cord Injury Unit - Building 7. NAICS is 541310. Contract award is subject to the availability of FY funds. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. A/E firms desiring consideration shall submit two (2) copies of Standard Form (SF) 330 to the Contracting Officer no later than 2:00pm on July 28, 2010. The A/E selection criteria will include (1) Professional qualifications necessary for the performance of the required services: (2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firms on similar projects; (3) Past Performance on contracts with government agencies. (4) Location of A/E firms; (5) Experience and roles of key design personnel specifically on related projects; (6) Cost control and estimating effectiveness. THIS IS SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY.
