- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Cayuga, ND, has a requirement for a commercial item or service. This combined synopsis/solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.603 (as supplemented with additional information included in this notice). This document incorporates provisions and clauses updated by way of the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-41, effective May 13, 2010. This solicitation is advertised for full and open competition as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS CONCERN SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502-2(a). This solicitation falls under procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 561730 Landscaping Services with a business size standard of $7M. Quotes are requested for solicitation number: 62680AQ022. Quotes are due July 16, 2010, 5:00 PM. This announcement constitutes the Government's only official notice of this procurement. This tree removal requirement includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor to treat approximately 56 acres of live woody vegetation on the Hartleben Waterfowl Production Area, Richland County, ND. Treatment consists of mechanically cutting live woody vegetation using hydro-axe type machinery and applying herbicide (Arsenal) at the recommended label rate to the cut areas. All trees and limbs should be mowed/cut as close to the ground as possible. Smaller vegetation are to be chipped and scattered on site, with the larger logs piled on-site.Due to potential soft and wet terrain, heavy machinery must have a minimum tire size of 67" x 34" x 25" with a ground pressure of 5.56 psi or comparable tracked types to minimize ground damage. The period of performance for this requirement is to begin on or near September 1 2010 but no later than September 30, 2010. All work must be completed by March 1, 2011. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this combined synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is the most advantageous to the Government based upon price and delivery. In addition, your quote should provide unit price, total price, delivery date, and FOB Destination. No formal format is required as this is a combined synopsis/request for quote solicitation.
