Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.navsea.navy.mil/nswc/crane/working/contracting. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable.Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement to provide MK 234 detonators. These are small electro-explosive certified and qualified devices supporting a joint U.S. and Australian program producing the NULKA Electronic Decoy Cartridge. The government intends to issue a draft contract and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, (Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company, 7073 West Willis Drive, Chandler AZ 85226). The units procured under this requirement should perform in accordance with a Statement of Work and applicable Specifications, Contract Data Requirements List and Technical Drawings. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Inspection will be made by DCMA at Origin, acceptance will be at Destination. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Government will consider all proposals received prior to the anticipated closing date. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
