- Description
- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912HN-10-T-0048 - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, intends to award a sole source purchase order pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 to McNaughton-McKay Electric Company, 35 Old Mill Road, Greenville, SC 29607, for the supply of Allen Bradley Control Logix Equipment for Station Automation Control at the Hartwell Powerplant, Hartwell, Georgia. This procurement will be funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funds. This proposed award is for the procurement of Allen Bradley Programmable Logix Controllers (PLCs) to allow control and monitoring of the new Station Service Switchgear and Motor Control Centers at the Hartwell Project. The Hartwell Project, the Hydropower Technical Center, and the remaining Savannah District Hydroelectric Dams are using Allen Bradley PLCs that were provided by a previous contract as part of the governor upgrade for all of the generators at Hartwell and other hydroelectric power plants on the Savannah River. The PLCs have proven to be very reliable. The items purchased will monitor and control the new station service switchgear and Motor Control Centers, be programmed to interface with the plant SCADA system, and will communicate via the existing ControlNet network using DeviceNet and ControlNet Protocol. The Controller platform will be the backbone for the Plant Automation Project and must be compatible with existing equipment. The use of the Allen Bradley ControlLogix platform is required to communicate on the existing ControlNet network.
