- SET-ASIDE: NONE. THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: Provide all materials, equipment, labor and supervision to necessary to construct four (4) new stock wells at four separate locations. Each well shall be completed to include drilling of the bore hole; down-hole treatment of formations; setting of casings, screens, and accessories; gravel pack; grouting; and all other items required to produce a well capable of being pumped to the required well yield. The Contractor shall NOT provide, under this contract, any permanent pumping equipment, electrical service, or other equipment, normally associated with a completed well. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE: The project administrative site is the Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Montana approximately 4 miles from Medicine Lake, Montana. Actual work sites are located on lands near the Refuge managed by the Service. Contractors are urged to visit the site and become familiar with existing conditions. Your attention is invited to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. Arrangements to inspect the site may be made by contacting the Facility Manager, Brian DeVries, 406-789-2305. GENERAL INFORMATION: The estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000-$100,000. The total performance period is 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, and the size standard is $33.5 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about 19 Jul 2010 with an anticipated closing date of 9 Aug 2010.
