- Description
- Project work consists of the following major items of work: surveying; excavation; road building; boulder removal and haul; pipe removal; and new pipe installation. This project is located on the Hood Canal Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest: Sections 3 & 8, Township 24 N, Range 4 W; W.M., north of Shelton, Washington. Period for performance is from date of award to October 15, 2011. Construction period is from July 15th to October 15th. Project Manager is Mr. Krishna Plocher, 360-956-2318. The Forest Service will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals (RFP) on or about July 26, 2010. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Forest Service will award a firm fixed-price contract to that responsible Offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and has been determined to be the best value to the Forest Service. Offers will be evaluated on: price; experience, past performance, managers & subcontractors, price realism, and a Level of Confidence Assessment Rating (LOCAR). The government estimated value is between $100,000 and $250,000. A bid bond is required. Performance and payment bonds are required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
