Description
The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to renovate various interior spaces within an existing two story, concrete framed, classroom structure, approximately 50 years old. The building contains roughly 75,000 square feet laid out in a typical classroom plan with double loaded corridors throughout. The building is not sprinkled. Interior finishes as well as upgrades to services, including electrical and mechanical will be major elements in this project. This project includes the renovation of approximately ½ of 1 floor or approx. 18,000 sf of renovated area. The intent of the renovation is to update the existing building and provide major interior finish renovations and minor interior renovations as required to update the current classrooms corridors. To enlarge and renovated toilet rooms, provide various amenities and upgrades. This renovation encompasses stringent communication requirements. No exterior work is anticipated in this project. Within the various rooms and areas, certain criteria must be met concerning adjacency of different offices and workstations. Also, all offices and workstations will have specific needs for various communication cable routing. In order to provide adequate power to all offices and work areas, large portions of the structure may need to be re-circuited. It is assumed that the current HVAC system has sufficient capacity, although extensive ductwork modifications will be required. New lighting and ceilings will be provided. Restrooms will require remodeling, including the addition of new stalls and fixtures. New finish flooring will be required throughout, as well as new ceiling and wall finishes. The entire renovated area will receive new finishes throughout. This acquisition will be a 100% Competitive Hub-Zone Set-Aside with no geographical restrictions, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible Hub-Zone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220. The size standard is $33.5 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.eps.gov on/or around 23 Jul 10 with a tentative closing date of 24 Aug 10. The contract performance period will be 240 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. CCR Registration may be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in CCR in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
