- Description
- The Pacific Ranger District, Olympic National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the reconstruction of storm damaged Forest Service Road 2281 at M.P. 4.9. Project includes, but is not limited to: staking; removal and disposal of a culvert; and installlation of a 72-inch, 106 feet long, pipe culvert. This project is located on Section 16, Township 22 North, Range 08 West, W.M., near Quinault, Washington. Project site may be reached by traveling north approximately 22.4 miles from Hoquiam on U.S. 101 to Forest Service Road 22, Donkey Creek Rd. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 22 and travel approximately 21 miles to the junction of Forest Service Road 2294. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 2294 and travel approximately 2.5 miles to the junction of Forest Service Road 2281. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 2281 and travel 3.5 miles to the project site. Period for performance is from contract award to October 15, 2011. Construction period is from July 1stt to October 15th. In-stream construction is restricted to July 16th to September 30th. Project Manager is Mr. Guadalupe Cisneros, 360-956-2353. The Forest Service will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals (RFP) on or about July 23, 2010. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Forest Service will award a firm fixed-price contract to that responsible Offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and has been determined to be the best value to the Forest Service. The government estimated value is between $50,000 and $100,000. A bid bond is not required. Payment protection, in the form of a payment bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or tripartite escrow agreement is required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
