- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD), intends to purchase McAfee Firewall Enterprise (MFE) Appliance, formerly known as Secure Computing Sidewinder Firewall, and support. NSWCDD intends to purchase the following: (a) Part Number NSA-0510-FWEX-FG - MFE Firewall Enterprise 510F Appl - Qty 3; (b) Part Number NYV0510ADMAG - MFE Firewall Enterprise 510F 1 Yr GL + NBD - Qty 3; (c) Part Number NSA-1100-FWE1-FUPG - MFE Firewall Enterprise 1100F Appl UPG - Qty 8; and (d) Part Number NYV1100STMG - MFE Firewall Enterprise 1100F 1 Yr GL + NBD - Qty 8. These exact products are necessary to standardize firewall implementation across NSWCDD and to ensure interoperability when implementing High Availability. OFFEROR MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13 as a Firm Fixed Price purchase order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334112 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION, AS ALL ITEMS ARE SPECIFIED UNDER THIS NOTICE AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. This synopsis will close on __15 July 2010___ at 1:00PM ET.
