Description
The Army anticipates award of a sole source modification to Allen Corporation of America under delivery order W91QUZ-08-D-0010-0002. The extension will be through to 31 December 2010 and will provide support for Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS), software testing, training, documentation, customer assistance, and fielding. SEC-Lee requires continued support of automated systems in the areas of functional and technical requirements definition, analysis, design, development, testing, validation, fielding, training, installation/extension, telephonic customer assistance, on-site customer assistance, maintenance, documentation, and sustainment of current Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS). The Army is currently working on a single system that will replace all existing logistics management systems. It is anticipated that the transition between STAMIS and the new comprehensive system will be completed sometime during Fiscal Year 2012. Meanwhile, SEC-Lee is required to provide system support to all STAMIS. The extension is necessary to provide for the continues combat readiness of our troops. It is critical that this delivery order be extended through December 31, 2010. The purpose of the PDSS contract is to obtain a performance-based arrangement for acquisition management, development, implementation, deployment, training, testing, documentation, and sustainment of assigned systems throughout their program lifecycle for PM, LIS. PDSS - is the sum of all activities required to ensure that, during the production/deployment phase of a mission critical computer system's life cycle, the implemented and fielded software/system continues to support its original operational mission and subsequent mission modifications mandated by DOD/DA and product improvement efforts. PDSS generally consists of software maintenance to correct defects in existing software, changes to DOD/DA policies and regulations, and hardware upgrades, testing of the software to ensure performance meets the requirements of the changed processes and that processes that were not changed still function as before, and documentation is updated in accordance with change. Provide both functional and as required technical support both telephonically and at user sites; provide training for software and/or hardware changes when tasked by PM LIS.
