- This is a posting for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3Z3660136A001. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-41, effective 13 May 2010, DCN 20100519, and AFAC 2010-0402. This acquistion will be solicited as unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 451211 The business size standard is $7.0M dollars. Requirement Description: 0001 - Library books please see attached list QTY: 1 Lot 0002 - Pre processing mylar book jacket covers/laminate covers Qty: 1 Lot ****Please ensure that all quotes are good till 30 Sept 2010**** Award shall be made to the vendor who can provide the highest percentage of books on attached list. Please ensure that you list and price all the books you can provide and books you are unable to provide. The following provisions/clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors - Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999) (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. It is currently listed as Geography series 9781602795884 1 $649.68; however, that ISBN is associated with a Science Explorer Series published by Cherry Lake Publishing. Is this the correct title? If not, can you please provide the correct ISBN? Answer: The ISBN 9781602795884 is correct and, you are correct, that the title is Science Explorer Series. It is a set of 24 books which include all aspects of science, including geography. 30 June 2010: The purpose of this modificaiton is to change the evaluation criteria to the following. Award shall be made to the vendor who can provide the highest percentage of books on attached list. Please ensure that you list and price all the books you can provide and books you are unable to provide. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (i) highest percentage of books on attached list (ii) price The response date has been extended till 13 July 2010 @ 0900 PST. 12 July 2010: The purpose of this modification is to extend the solicitation till 15 July 2010 @ 0900 PST to allow everyone a chance to bid, and post questions and answers. 1) Do all of the books need to arrive in a single shipment? All books do not have to come in one shipment. 2) Does it matter how they're shipped (UPS, USPS, DHL, etc.)? They can be shipped FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. Whatever is the most efficient and economical for the vendor is usually the mode of shipment used. 3) Can we sell them to you on a non-returnable basis? No if there is something wrong with the item we need to be able to return it. 4) The listing indicates that the "Award shall be made in aggregate, all or none," and a subsequent posting indicates that the "Award shall be made to the vendor who can provide the highest percentage of books on the attached list."
