- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, National Geospatial Programs Office has a requirement to acquire high resolution elevation data for the Oklahoma City Metro Area. The coverage area will be approximately 1,060 square miles, including the City of Oklahoma City and surrounding cities that make up the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area located in central Oklahoma. The USGS has the opportunity to obtain all this orthoimagery from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments at 25% of the cost of the entire project because other agencies and local governments are contributing to this project. The high resolution elevation data shall be collected to the following specifications: 1) imagery source date: high resolution, leaf-off, 1-ft GSD, natural color 2) resolution: accuracy - all topography features shall be accurate to within the tolerances of National Map Accuracy Standards or ASPRS Standards and at the appropriate mapping scale (1"=50', or 1"=100'); Feautre Density - the photogrammertrically extracted breakline and supplemental mass points shall be of sufficient density to support modeling of 1' or 2' contours to the accuracy stated above 3) projection: Oklahoma State Plane North Zone; the southern portion of the project footprint is in the Oklahoma State Plane, South Zone 5) Datum: NAD 83 horizontal, NAVD88 for vertical control used 5) Horizontal accuracy: 6-inch = ASPRS Class I for 1" = 100' (1:1200-scale); (+/- 1-ft RMS error x or y); 12-inch = ASPRS Class I for 1" = 400' (1:4800-scale); (+/- 4-ft RMS error x or y) 6) format of native data: all topographic data shall be delivered in ArcGIS GeoDatabse and/or in AutoCAD dwg formats 7) media distribution type: external hard drive 8) FGDC-compliant metadata: yes. The data delivery date to the USGS shall be no later than December 31, 2010. All deliverable data and documentation shall be free from restrictions regarding use and distribution. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253, implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the government considers the item specified as a sole source from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, 21 East Main Street, Suite 100, Oklahoma city, OK 731047-2405 and proposes to negotiate with that firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required services and provide considerable cost sharing are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-response to this request without further consideration. Affirmative response shall be received by this office by close of business July 27, 2010 by 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement.
