Description
HQ INSCOM intends to extend a firm fixed-price contract for four (4) months to Jupiter Corporation to provide adjudication support services in planning, data gathering and analysis, technical writing, graphics and production capabilities, and documentation coordination. Expected period of performance is September 1, 2010 December 31, 2010. Jupiter Corporation is performing the required services under contract number W911W4-10-P-0021, which will expire on August 31, 2010. Continuation of services by Jupiter Corporation are required, severance of the on-site contractor would impact the flow of work, requiring new staff training, DoD, Army and CCF policy familiarization. The current contractor's expertise is needed to continue the processing of Research, Recertify, and Upgrade (RRU) and Incident Reports (IR) in the Joint Personnel Adjudicative System (JPAS). The above source is deemed to be the only source available because an award to a source other than the original provider would result in a substantial duplication of cost which would not be recovered through competition. The competitive follow-on requirement is expected to be awarded on or about 15 January 2011. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The estimated value is $425,101.00. POC for this action is Charles R Dunaway, charles.dunaway@mi.army.mil,703-428-4466. Please submit responses by Wednesday, 21 July 2010 no later than 4 p.m.(EST).
